RADIATION DETECTION & MONITORING TECHNOLOGIES
RSI systems are designed for unsurpassed data quality even in challenging conditions such as surveying in remote areas, rugged environments, or under extreme weather conditions. The high quality gamma ray data provides the interpreter with unique geochemical information for enhanced understanding of the complex surface and subsurface environment. The advanced technical features and ease of operation of RSI’s airborne, mobile, portable, and handheld instruments allow for rapid, reliable, and precise measurements for field technicians, geoscientists and engineers.
With their reliable and reproducible results, RSI’s suite of handheld and portable instruments offer rapid and cost effective in-situ assays of K, U, and Th as a stand-alone ground technique or as a follow up to an airborne survey. The RS-120, RS-125, RS-230 and RS-330 units are also ideally suited for surveys and have been designed to be extremely rugged and durable. Their easy operation by use of a single button, eyes free operation, and auto-stabilizing without the need for man made radioactive sources, is a result of RSI’s vast experience in deploying field instruments.
The RS-700 Mobile System for high end gamma ray spectrometry is used in geophysical exploration and geological mapping. The system is unsurpassed in field performance through its revolutionary technologies including the unique ADS, high tech composite materials, and advanced software. The RS-700 is a modular system allowing for single or multiple detectors in order to optimize the configuration for operational constraints. The system is designed for minimal operator interaction, where advanced users can monitor the data and system performance on a computer with RSI’s proprietary RadAssist Software.
RSI’s suite of handheld and portable instruments offer rapid and cost effective assays of K, U, and Th of core or outcrop. The reliable and reproducible results from these units aid in the interpretation of shales, clay content, and characterize stratigraphic boundaries. Their easy operation by use of a single button and auto-stabilizing without the need for man made radioactive sources is a result of RSI’s vast experience in deploying field instruments. The RS-330 is the new generation of lightweight field spectrometers that provides the highest sensitivity along with a selection of measurement methods including borehole, collimated setups, and user defined input. The RS-125, RS-230 and RS-330 units are designed to be extremely rugged and durable while bringing lab quality measurements to the field.
Gamma radiometric surveys for proximal soil sensing complement EM surveys for determining soil type boundaries, yield potential, and other soil parameters. The RS-700 Mobile System is the ideal system for this type of precision agriculture. With a modular design it allows for single or multiple detector configurations that optimize field survey operations. The high volume detector(s) allow for rapid surveying and accurate radiometric (K,U,Th) mapping. The highly durable and protective detector cases are made of lightweight composite materials for improved low energy efficiency and can be mounted on different platforms for surveying over agricultural terrains.
